Vasishta Rasayanam is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal jam form (like Chyawanprash). It is mainly used for the treatment of cough, cold and such other respiratory tract infections.

Dosage:
Adult dose: 6 – 12 grams, once or twice a day, before food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
Pediatric dose:
For children above 1 – 3 years – 1 gram, once or twice a day.
4- 8 years – 3 grams once or twice a day.
9 – 16 years – 5 grams once or twice a day
How long to take:
It can be taken for a period of 1 – 3 months of time, based on doctors advice. For long term use, the dose is decreased gradually.
